Courier Workers On Strike In Istanbul

Couriers from Yemek Sepeti, one of Turkey’s largest grocery and food delivery companies, have been on strike since February 2 to demand higher wages, and better working conditions. Courier workers protest the low wage rise, which falls short of Turkey’s high inflation rate. Several other companies, including Yurtici Kargo courier service, Migros supermarket chain, and Trendyol e-commerce company, faced similar worker protests earlier this year.
