Poland receives more than 1.5 million Ukrainian refugees

Ukrainian families rest after arriving at the main railway station in Krakow as more than 1.5 million people have already fled Ukraine for Poland. As the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia is expected to force up to 5 million Ukrainians to flee the country. Many of the refugees will seek asylum in Poland. Most charitable help in Poland is provided by individuals, NGOs and businesses. The escapees rest at the station before they are relocated to shelters or private houses of Polish people.
