246th Independence Day Celebration has marked by Ambassador to Turkey Jeffry L. Flake with a reception in Izmir, Turkey on June 16, 2022. Ambassador Flake's wife Cheryl Flake, the couple's children and grandchildren, and many diplomats, business representatives and members of the army forces from various nations have attended to the reception. Ambassador has highlighted importance of the independence quoting a sentence from the Turkish leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. He has mentioned the developed trade and education linkages between two countries, beside the linkages of security and political issues in his independence speech.
