As honorary Patriarch of the newly-formed Orthodox Church of Ukraine Filaret stated during the Unification Council in December 2018 an agreement was reached that he was engaged in the internal affairs of the church and the newly elected head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Epiphanius external, and that supposedly these agreements were violated.
