The Polish flag is seen flying at the Sejm on June 29, 2019 in Warsaw, Poland. In November Poland will hold parliamentary elections in which the opposition has high hopes it will remove what is seen as an increasingy authoritarian government from power. Poland has seen authoritarian creep since the conservative Law and Justice party won the previous election in 2015. Since then the country has seen furhter restrictions on abortion, an increase in nationalism and xenophobia and an increasingly difficult relationship with the EU.
