Friday following of Miraj in Srinagar, India

Muslim devotees pray upon seeing the relic on the occasion of the Friday that follows Miraj. In Kashmir, Muslims thronged to the Hazratbal Shrine to offer congregational prayers and catch a glimpse of the relic believed to be from the beard of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Miraj is the day on which the Prophet Mohammed left Mecca for Jerusalem, from where he ascended to heaven.
