Farewell ceremony for Ukrainian journalist and serviceman Oleksandr Bondarenko in Kyiv, amid Russian invasion of Ukraine

Relatives and friends take part at farewell ceremony with Ukrainian serviceman and former BBC Ukraine journalist Oleksandr Bondarenko, who has been killed on the frontline in the eastern Ukraine, in Kyiv, Ukraine on 1 May 2023, amid Russian invasion of Ukraine. Oleksandr Bondarenko worked as a radio presenter at an FM radio station as well as for BBC Ukraine and then for TRK Ukraine. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022 Oleksandr Bondarenko joined the Ukraine's territorial defense. He was killed in a combat against Russian troops near Kreminna city at Luhansk region in last week, eastern Ukraine, according to local media.
