Ashura is an important Islamic day which falls on the 10th day of month of Muharram , the first month of Islamic lunar calendar. Ashura marks the death of Husayn ibn Ali , the grandson of prophet Muhammad in the battle of Karbala. The day is observed as the end of 10 days of mourning .
