A holographic character works as a receptionist at the front desk of the new Henn-na Hotel Tokyo-Asakusatawaramachi on August 22, 2019, Tokyo, Japan. The new branch of Henn-na Hotel, which is translated literally as ''weird hotel,'' is located near Tawaramachi Station, close to the popular district of Asakusa. The Henn-na Hotel branch is famous to use robots as staff (with human support) in other branches. The owners claim to be the world's first hotel to use holograms as staff, which are programmed to attend guests in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. The holographic staff Japanese travel agency H.I.S. Hotel Holdings operates the hotel which has 217 rooms and it is set to open from September 1st.
