Nurses at the main coronavirus hospital in the Polish capital Warsaw received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Sunday, the first person to be vaccinated in Poland as part of a coordinated rollout across the European Union. Poland received its first shipments of the vaccine a day earlier as part of an EU plan to rollout vaccinations in a coordinated effort across the 27 countries of the bloc.
