Trucks are currently lined up to cross the border in Medyka, Poland, as local farmers are striking and blocking truck transport at the Medyka border crossing between Poland and Ukraine. The farmers joined the transport sector in their strike against the poor management of Ukrainian agricultural imports on November 24, and are demanding a renegotiation of transport deals between Ukraine and the European Union. Medyka is the fourth site of the strike. Protesters have already blocked three other crossings for truck transport, allowing only four trucks per hour to pass, excluding those carrying humanitarian and military aid, as well as sensitive chemical and food goods. The strike began on November 7. According to the drivers, the queue at the Medyka crossing was over ten days long even before the strike started today.
