Polish opposition MPs occupy public television headquarters

Police and security intervened at the headquarters of the public broadcaster TVP in Warsaw, Poland on 20 December, 2023. After the new Donald Tusk led government, which took power last week sacked the heads of public media companies on Wednesday opposition MPs started a sit in at the public television office. Former government ministers stayed at the premises in the hope of drawing attention to what they say is a danger to media plurality in Poland.
