Nation-wide strike of Polish farmers

Farmers from the Greater Poland region are entering Poznań, the capital of the region in western Poland, on their tractors on February 9, 2024. This is part of a nationwide farmers' strike in Poland, which is itself part of the European farmers' protest against the EU Green Deal regulations. The Polish farmers are also demanding a change to the EU agreement with Ukraine regarding the import of agricultural produce to the EU. The protest in Poznań is being organized by Rola Wielkopolska and has gathered over a thousand tractors, which are currently blocking roads in the city.
