In December 2023, the construction sector saw a month-over-month rise in seasonally adjusted output, growing by 0.8% in the eurozone and 1.3% across the European Union, as per preliminary data from Eurostat, the EU's statistical agency. This increase follows a decrease in November 2023, where construction output declined by 0.4% in the eurozone and 0.5% in the EU. For the entire year of 2023, the average annual construction output edged higher by 0.2% in the eurozone and by 0.1% in the EU when compared to 2022.
