Aftermath of a three-alarm fire at a house in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, United States on February 25, 2024. A three-alarm fire damaged a residence Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2024 at 2:24 PM on the Six Block of 5th Street. Upon arrival, the front of the house was on fire and it was extending into the residence. Members of the department used large master stream nozzles to knock the fire down from the outside before entering the building. Due to the fast-moving fire, three cats died. The fire caused extensive damage to the building and was extinguished after about an hour. There were no injuries to residents or to firefighters. Police tape could be seen at the residence as authorities conduct the investigation into what caused the fire.
