Newly elected members of the provincial assembly of KPK take oath at the KPK provincial assembly during a session in Peshawar, Pakistan, 28 February 2024. Around 115 newly elected representatives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly were sworn in during a tumultuous session marked by protests and riots by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters turned members of the Sunni Ittehad Council. The session, delayed by over an hour, saw outgoing Speaker Mushtaq Ghani administering the oath to members from various parties, including PTI, JUI-F, PML-N, and PPP. PTI's nominee for KP chief minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, was among those sworn in, carrying a picture of imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan.
