Fatal accident on Van Duzer Street in Staten Island, New York, United States on February 29, 2024. At approximately 9:26 a.m., Thursday morning authorities responded to an accident at Van Duzer Street and Waverly Place in Staten Island, New York. The 41-year-old female was traveling in a Hyundai and a 78-year-old female was traveling in a Volvo. The 78-year-old female suffered a medical episode and struck the Hyundai from behind, then struck a pole. EMS transported the 78-year-old female to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased and the 41-year-old female refused medical attention at the scene.
