Farmers block main highway in Poland

Protesting farmers set up a blockade of the A2 motorway near Wartkowice in Poland. Following failed negotiation with the Government to reach an agreement, from Monday 11 March 2024 until Wednesday, farmers decided to block roads in Poland, including the A2 motorway connecting eastern Poland with western Poland. The protest began on Monday morning, traffic on the A2 highway is completely blocked in both directions - Poznan (and the German border), and Warsaw. Farmers have two demands in particular: limiting the inflow of agricultural and food products to Poland from Ukraine and solving the issue of the entire Green Deal.
