A decade and a half since the seismic event that shook L'Aquila in 2009, the city has earned the title of Italian Capital of Culture for 2026. As the calendar turns to the night of April 5th to 6th, L'Aquila is set to observe the 15th anniversary of the earthquake, dedicating tributes to the 309 individuals who perished.
