Fifteen years after the 2009 earthquake, L'Aquila has been nominated as the Italian Capital of Culture for 2026. On the night between April 5 and 6, the city of L’Aquila will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the earthquake and pay tribute to the 309 victims.
