A senior citizen in Nagaon district, Assam, is casting his vote through a postal ballot for the Lok Sabha elections on April 17, 2024. For the first time in India during the Lok Sabha elections, the home voting facility is being extended to senior citizens over 85 years of age and differently-abled voters with over 40 percent disability. The general elections are being held in India from April 19, 2024, to June 1, 2024, to elect the 543 members of the 18th Lok Sabha.
