Golu Devta Temple (Bell Temple) in Ghorakhal, Uttarakhand, India, on April 20, 2024. Golu Devta is a deity of the Kumaoni and Garhwali communities of India. The deity of this temple is Golajya Dev or Golu Devta, who is believed to be a dispenser of justice. People come here to pray to Golu Devta to deliver justice to them if a court case has been running against them for years or to remove obstacles from their lives. They hang a bell with or without their written plea to the poles of this temple. They come back with a larger bell if their plea is accepted and justice is delivered. Bells (in brass alloy) are available at shops selling puja items outside the temple.
