Several dozen people, mainly Georgian nationals rallied in front of the EU representation in Warsaw, Poland on 30 April, 2024. The demonstrators rallied in support of protesters in Georgia opposing the introduction of a new law they could jeopardise foreign NGO's and other organisations receiving foreign funding. The law is also called the "Moscow Law" as it resembles earlier legislation passed in Russia. QUOTES: Enele Kintusurashvili , 25 years old, Program Assistant at the German Marshall Fund of the United States: 1. "We gathered together in front of the office of the European Parliament in Warsaw to show our support to our trail of Georgians who have been protesting in TBC nonstop every single day for the past three weeks against the second attempt of our government. The Georgians aim to introduce a Russian style law called foreign agent influence law, which we think will derail Georgia from its EU integration and it will strike us with the chance to ever join either European or NATO." 2. "And I think that the protests that are taking place currently in TBC, they are a little bit different in their essence because of the new generation. They are not trying to overthrow the government. They are not plotting against the government. They are coming out of the street and openly telling them that, hey, please listen to us. This is what we want. And we really want our country to become a member of the European Union one day. Therefore, I feel like it's a really good showcasing of what the new generation of Georgians are going to be like." 3. "And I really like their approach because I feel like if they keep up protesting every single day and then eventually show up at parliamentary elections on 26 October."
