TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is reacting at a media conference at the Trinamool Congress Party Office in Kolkata, India, on May 4, 2024. Banerjee is slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi for questioning the security of women in West Bengal, while alleging that BJP leaders are involved in incidents of women's torture. Speaking at a rally in Raniganj, Banerjee is also referring to Modi's participation in a rally supporting JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is accused of sexually abusing women. Banerjee is criticizing Modi for holding rallies with party leaders who refer to "Bengalis as Rohingyas, Muslims as Pakistanis, and Sikhs as Khalistanis". He is asserting, "Have you noticed their language?... and Modi ji is holding election campaigns making these people sit next to him... those who believe in the politics of hate and division will be ousted from West Bengal."
