Yangtze River Basin Water Quality Improved in Yichang, China

The ecological environment along the shoreline of the Yichang Yangtze River is seen in Yichang, Hubei province, China, May 30, 2024. On May 29, Pei Xiaofei, spokesperson of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, said that in 2023, the proportion of excellent water quality sections in the Yangtze River Basin reached 95.6%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the same period last year, and the main stream water quality remained Class II for four consecutive years.
