Villagers are walking through a flooded area following rains, after the landfall of cyclone 'Remal', in Hojai district of Assam, India, on May 31, 2024. The cyclone is striking low-lying regions of Bangladesh and neighboring India on the evening of May 26, resulting in numerous fatalities, widespread destruction, breaches in seawalls, and inundation of urban areas by powerful winds and surging.
