A few hundred people protest the recent failure by the centrist government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk to muster sufficient support for a vote to liberalize the country's strict anti-abortion law outside the parliament building in Warsaw, Poland, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The legislation would have decriminalised the act of helping a woman obtain an unlawful abortion up to the 12th week of pregnancy. Under the current law, someone can be jailed for up to three years for doing so.
