Macaques are cooling off in the holy pond 'Kund' of Shrine Galta Peeth Tirtha, also known as 'Galta Ji temple' and 'Monkey temple', in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The Rajasthan High Court is nullifying the appointment of Mahant Avdheshacharya of Jaipur's renowned Galta Peeth Tirtha. The High Court is instructing the government to take over Galta Peeth and its associated properties and develop it similarly to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Mahakal temple in Ujjain.
