Palestinians are inspecting the damage following an Israeli strike on the Khadija school housing displaced people in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, on July 27, 2024, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the militant Hamas group. The health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza is saying an Israeli strike on July 27 on a school is killing 30 people, after a days-long military operation further south is leaving around 170 dead, according to the civil defence agency. Israel's military is saying it is carrying out a strike on the school targeting "terrorists" operating there.
