Pakistan observes day of mourning following Hamas leader Haniyeh's killing

Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were targeted and killed in Tehran, Iran, on July 31, 2024, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed. Hamas leader Haniyeh's funeral ceremony is being held in Qatar's capital Doha on August 2, 2024.
