Commuters are boarding a subway car as service is resuming after a trespasser on the tracks caused power to be shut down and trains to be halted and evacuated on the TTC subway line 1 during the evening rush-hour commute, forcing hundreds of commuters onto the subway platform as they are waiting to see when subway service will be resumed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on August 14, 2024. Power is being shut off to prevent the trespasser from being electrocuted while walking on the subway tracks at the Yonge-Bloor Station. The disruption is causing chaos and snarling the evening rush-hour commute.
