Protest In Kolkata, India

Women of Kolkata are making a protest rally claiming the doctor’s justice and women’s safety in West Bengal. The protest is taking over every nook and corner of Kolkata and West Bengal at midnight on the eve of Indian Independence Day in Kolkata, India, on August 14, 2024. A 31-year-old lady junior doctor was raped and murdered during her night duty at R G Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata on August 9, 2024. A nationwide protest of the doctors and women is going on since the incident happened. The Supreme Court of India is taking suo motu cognizance, with Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud leading the bench to hear the case on August 20, 2024.
