Two men shot, one dead on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York

Two men are being shot, with one dead, on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York, United States, on October 12, 2024. On Saturday evening at approximately 7:14 PM, in front of 39 Madison Street, two men are being shot. A man is being shot in the neck and is being transported to the hospital where he is pronounced dead. A 30-year-old man is being shot in the lower body and is in stable condition. No suspects are in custody. The NYPD Crime Scene Unit investigators are placing evidence markers at the scene where ballistic evidence is being found.
