Iphita limbata is a phytophagous belonging to the Pyrrhocoridae superfamily, a sap-sucking forest-dwelling bug which mainly infests Trewia nudiflora trees in the Marshy forest areas of India. Pyrrhocoridae is an insect also known as cotton stainers because their feeding activities leave an indelible yellow-brownish stain on cotton crops. They also feed rotting debris, including dead animals. Some species are predatory they can also eat another pyrrhocorid.
