Devotees are seen lighting oil lamps at a river side of ganges in Kolkata , India , on 15 November 2024 , during Dev Deepavali celebration in the city . Dev Deepavali or Diwali of Gods is a Hindu festival which is celebrated on the full moon night on the bengali month of Karthik , 15 days after Diwali and is believed that on this day Gods comes down to earth to celebrate and bathe in Ganga river . Devotees light oil lamp on Ganges river sides to pay honor to the river and its residing Goddess.
