Ukrainian veterans, participants of the conflict between the Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists in eastern regions, attend a protest against the so called 'Steinmeier formula', during the march dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and in central Kiev, Ukraine, on 14 October, 2019. Thousands activists of different nationalist parties and movements marched in the center of Ukrainian capital celebrating the founding of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and Defender of Ukraine Day. The Ukrainian Insurgent Army or UPA fought for Ukrainian independence against the Red Army and the Nazi wermacht during the WWII. On 1 October, 2019 members of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine agreed to a peace process known as the 'Steinmeier Formula', which can granting for the eastern regions controlled by pro-Russian separatists special status, which causes numerous protests of Ukrainian nationalists, as local media reported.
