The restoration of the Fontana dei Tritoni

The restoration of the Fontana dei Tritoni and the redeveloped garden is taking place a few days before the start of the Jubilee in the center of Rome, Italy, on December 21, 2024. The intervention, completed with resources from the PNRR, is involving the restoration of the Fontana dei Tritoni, built between 1717 and 1719 at the behest of Pope Clement XI Albani (1700-1721) as the culmination of important urban redevelopment works in the area adjacent to the banks of the Tiber. It is located in the square in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin.
