Christmas Celebration In India

People are coming from different and distant villages to celebrate Holy Christmas in the small and only church in the Tehatta area at Haulia, West Bengal, India, on December 25, 2024. The number of Christians in this region is very low, so people of other religions are also coming there. Various topics related to Jesus Christ are being conveyed through large and miniature statues. There is also a statue of Mother Teresa, a Catholic saint and Nobel laureate, known for her missionary work with the needy in India. Since the church is in the village, a chicken is sitting on the church window. In the Bible, Jesus compares himself to a hen gathering her chicks under her wings, using this metaphor to represent his desire to protect and gather his followers close to him.
