Severe cold wave in Srinagar, India - 01/01/2025
Srinagar recorded a night-time temperature of -5°C, while hill stations like Gulmarg and Sonamarg saw even lower temperatures of -8°C and -9°C, respectively. A new western disturbance is forecasted to bring heavy snowfall from January 2, likely intensifying the cold wave and causing colder temperatures and heavier fog across northern India.
