People are buying dates at a market in Srinagar ahead of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. Markets in the valley, especially in the summer capital's commercial hub, are remaining flooded with dates, dry fruits, fresh fruits, and pickles throughout the entire month of fasting. Traditionally, Muslims in the Kashmir valley and elsewhere are breaking their fast with dates.
