The French Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Economy and Finance organised a joint summit in Bercy, headquarters of the Ministry of Economy, at which the main guest was Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Yulia Svyrydenko. Economy Minister Eric Lombard, Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and Deputy Foreign Minister with responsibility for Foreign Trade Laurent Saint-Martin reaffirmed their full support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression and presented the results of the Ukraine Fund, thanks to which France is the first country to make major investments in the reconstruction and resilience of Ukraine. 19 projects by French companies will receive €200 million from the Ukraine Fund to support critical infrastructure and priority sectors of the Ukrainian economy. The grant agreement between the Government of the French Republic and the Government of Ukraine contributing to the support of critical infrastructures and priority sectors was implemented in record time. Thanks to the close collaboration between the Ukrainian and French governments, the 19 winning projects were selected within 5 months after the agreement was signed on 7 June 2024. These 19 reconstruction projects, led by 17 French companies, meet the country's most urgent needs in the key sectors of energy, infrastructure, health, water, mine clearance and housing. The projects must be implemented in less than 16 months, guaranteeing rapid benefits for the Ukrainian population. In Paris, 7 March, 2025.
