Gokul Pithe is being made as a winter special Bengali traditional fried dessert, also known as Pitha or Fritter. It is wrapped in a dough of flour and deep-fried until golden with mawa or khoya (milk solid made by curdling milk and draining with sugar), then soaked in sugar or jaggery syrup. Gokul Pithe sweet is especially being made in Bengali homes during the festival of Makar Sankranti or Poush Parbon. This video is being taken in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on February 14, 2025.
