Afghan refugees are boarding a truck to be sent back to Afghanistan, following their arrest by the police, at the Torkham border in Pakistan, on April 8, 2025. Around 800,000 Afghan citizens in Pakistan are facing uncertainty as a mass deportation campaign is beginning on April 1, affecting not only undocumented individuals but also holders of Afghan Citizenship Cards (ACC), who were previously residing legally in the country.
