Indian soldiers helping to clear away the uprooted trees in Kolkata, May 24, 2020, Kolkata, WestBengal, India. West Bengal Home Ministry requested Army support to clearing the remains of approx. more than thousands of trees, electric poles and houses destroyed as the aftermath of cyclone Amphan. Approx 200 soldiers joined more than 4000 disaster relief personnel and local volunteers working on the streets of eastern Indian city Kolkata. The storm also damaged century –old trees in one of the Asia’s oldest botanic gardens.
