Demonstration in Albany, New York, following the death of George Floyd, on May 31, 2020. Thousands of demonstrators took the streets of New York protesting the death in police custody of an African American man, George Floyd. In response to the police-related murders of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Breonna Taylor in Kentucky, Nina Pop in Missouri, Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia members of the Albany community, Citizen Action of New York, and other community groups marched in solidarity with protests being held in Minneapolis, Georgia and numerous other cities around the nation. The march began at Townsend Park in Albany, New York, at 1 p.m.
