More than 300 people arrested during the protest against the new security law in Hong Kong, China

Demonstrators have clashes with police during the protest over a national security law imposed by the government of China. More than 300 people were arrested on July 1, 2020 as protesters took the streets demonstrating against the new security legislation introduced by China to snuff out dissent. Thousands of people gathered to mark the anniversary of the former British colony's handover to China in 1997.
