A fierce fight between the opposing candidates - Andrzej Duda (the present President of Poland of ruling PiS party) and an opposition candidate Rafal Trzaskowski of Civic Coalition was observed in the deeply antagonized political arena of Poland. Presidential election was originally set for May the 10 but postponed due to Coronavirus lockdown. It is the first presidential election in Europe since Covid 19 outbreak. Today’s election determines the next Polish president, who serves a five-year term.
