An aerial view of buildings which collapsed with the powerful earthquake in the municipality of Amatrice, Italy. On August 24, 2016 a powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck Amatrice in central Italy. This earthquake was the strongest in that area since the 2009 earthquake that destroyed the city of L'Aquila.
