Celebration of the Victory day of Turkey, amid the covid-19 pandemic

Last week Interior Ministry announced that they banned large-scale gatherings on Aug. 30, the Victory day of Turkey, as part of COVID-19 measures. After this announcement discussion has sparked between government and secular part of Turkey. Short protocol ceremonies were hold in 81 provinces. After protocol ceremony was held some secular groups such as CHP( The Republican People's Party), LDP( Liberal Democratic Party), Izmir Bar Association celebrated the Victory Day calmly with Turkish flags in public areas in Cumhuriyet Meydani, in Izmir, in Turkey on August 30, 2020.
