On Thursday, 17 September 2020, thousand people in Nantes, France responded to the call of the CGT, FTUU and Solidaires intersyndicale to go on strike and demonstrate to save jobs that are being affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The unions demanded a pay rise to ensure that wages and pensions do not fall below 1,700 € net and a reduction of working hours to 32 hours a week.
